A new survey conducted by the Addison Group took a close look at job seekers attitudes towards finding employment during the summer months.In the Addison Groups 2013 US Workforce Survey, over 1,000 employed and unemployed workers revealed their attitudes towards searching for work during the summer. Almost half of the respondents (49%) claimed that summer was one of the best times to put more effort into their job searches. The survey labeled those who are putting forth more effort as Active or Hunter job seekers.Interestingly,job seekers who viewed the summer months as the optimum time to find employment varied by age. For example, a whopping 64% of those aged 18-29 felt that summer job searching was beneficial. And 50% of those aged 30-44 thought the summer was an opportune time to seek employment as well .Sure, you might feel sluggish during the dog days of summer, but thats not a reason to let it sidetrack your job search. But be sure to find a position that can offer you benefits such as a flexible schedule or allows you telecommute. That way you can score some much needed work-life balance.
